Townhead Carpets

Townhead Carpets was established in 1971 by James Lavrie. The original shop was 45 Townhead, Kirkintilloch, and it still remains an outlet today. The name of the firm being derived from that area of Kirkintilloch. The firm originally sold floor coverings and furniture for many years but in the mid 1980's decided to specialise on the flooring side only. Today the firm is operated by Ian Lavrie (son of founder J. Lavrie) and Colin McIntosh (son in law of J. Lavrie)
