After years of feeling chubby and lethargic I finally decided to make a change - I lost 20kg (around 3 stone) in weight the hard way; time, determination and sheer will power. It wasn't easy after letting myself fall into a rut, health wise and with my life in general. During this period of self improvement I became very interested in the psychological process of motivational change and, having had my fair share of highs and lows with my fitness and health, I know from individual experience how difficult it can be to change your habits.
